BOPHUT BEACH

Bophut Beach is two kilometres to the east of Maenam Beach, with an even more relaxed and traditional lifestyle than the larger communities on other beaches and islands.  Bophut is often referred to as a fishermans village.  The beach is two kilometres long, with white sand and coconut palms along the crystal blue waters.  The waters are very calm, making it an ideal spot for relaxing.  Bophut Beach is one of the only beaches on Koh Samui where people can hire jet skis, kayaks and snorkelling gear.  The main road is scattered with shops and restaurants similar to other beaches, but much quieter.  There are a number of pricey but very good French-owned cafes and restaurants.
