KATA BEACH

Kata Beach is located 20 kilometres from Phuket and has fine sand and clear waters, bordered by hills and the small Bu Island sits just offshore.  The beach is more family orientated and quieter than most other beaches in Phuket, with the opportunity to surf from May to October.  In the high season this palm lined beach is home to several yachts and the sunsets are ranked some of the best in all of Thailand.

There is a Club Med in Kata town, which has produced several shops and tour operators to open business.  The nightlife is quite family orientated, although there are several bars with live music and a more vibrant nightlife.

Adjoining to Kata Beach is the beautiful Kata Noi, which was ranked 30th best beach in all of Australasia.
