NAI HARN BEACH

Nai Harn is known for being quieter than other places in Phuket.  However the beach is probably one of the most beautiful in Thailand and a popular place for people in the know.  Nai Harn has a large fresh water river, which flows into the sea at the southern end.  There are only a few hotels and a splatter of local restaurants.  The swimming opportunities are priceless, however care should be taken in the off season, from May to October, when the undertows become quite strong.  Although Nai Harn is quieter than other places in Phuket, there are still many bars which stay open until early hours in the morning.

Just north of Nai Harn are a few more secluded areas worth a visit.  These include Nui Beach, Ya Nui, a sandy cove popular with people going snorkelling and diving and Promthep Cape, a greta place to watch the beautiful sunsets.
